Then tighten it your 1/8 turn and you're good to go. The lifters might rattle a little when you first fire the engine because they aren't oiled up yet, but that should subside rather quickly. Web17 de jul. de 2024 · I always just adjust hydraulic lifters after priming the engine. Once it's on the base circle, turn the adjuster will spinning the pushrod. It's easy to feel when you have zero clearance. Turn the adjuster 1/2-3/4 turn and lock down. Yes, it will open the valve but once it starts running it bleeds down. Restarted the motor and it ran smooth for about 10 minutes and then started misfiring. Pulled the valve cover and one of the exuast valves had about 1/4 inch lash!
