The UNI is an excellent tripod and I used to use it with an FTX mount and an AP130GTX, but even that combination would have been better on the Planet.

WebOct 26, 2007 · I use (very occasionally due to my windy cloudy location) the TTS-160 exclusively for imaging. I was drawn by the lack of meridian flip and polar alignment. In truth the polar alignment was much quicker on a GEM with sharpcap than manually aligning using an imaging loop and the limited target selection in the southern hemisphere.
